The Soyuz-2.1b rocket with the Fregat upper stage lifted off from the Vostochny Cosmodrome on June 27, at 14:34 Moscow time. The Soyuz-2 successfully launched the Meteor-M No. 2-3 hydrometeorological satellite into orbit as the main payload and 42 small spacecraft as a secondary payload. Glavkosmos (part of Roscosmos) is the main integrator of the works and the launch service provider in the project of launching secondary payloads.

29 satellites were separated into orbit with the use of 9 Aerospace Capital deployers:

• 11 CubeSat spacecraft for Russian commercial customers;
• A Cubesat 12U PHI-Demo by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC, United Arab Emirates) was launched under a contract with GK Launch Services;
• Malaysian spacecraft CubeSat 6U;
• 16 educational CubeSat satellites for the Space-π project supported by FASIE:

Today's launch set a record for cosmodrome Vostochny in terms of the number of spacecraft launched as a rideshare! All satellites were successfully launched and separated into target orbits.
